...and why is she bumming me out? Or what hath Rham wrought?
Yeah, yeah happy new year and a crappy winter morning to you too. Last night I woke up mumbling about how abjectly depressing it was and between snores some dude named Brown kicked Martha's ass (or donkey) taking Ted Kennedy's old seat.
Yesterday they cut down "Herbie" of Yarmouth Maine. One of New England's largest Elm trees has succumbed to dutch elm disease after 212 years.
"What is the world coming to?" cried the brahmin to the bean. "Here where codfish is no longer king".
In Baltimore the famous "Poe toaster" failed to appear at poor Eddie's grave for the first time in over sixty years. There were no birthday roses, no Cognac. No nevermore.
That's the kind of day it was.
