The episode of the magical shoe

It was in the fifth year of Bush's war, King George came to Baghdad from across the sea to show his power. And while standing beside Prime Minister Maliki in the heart of that city; a shoe size ten was thrown at his head, a gift delivered to all the world in the form of an ancient insult more eloquent than any spoken word.
One could not imagine a more appropriate gesture towards the man who has bestowed such a war as this upon the world, this "parting kiss from the widows" thrown at the one who has elevated the parsing of collateral damage to an art form of denial and deception.
Though I would have preferred a cowboy boot, it is through the velocity of this footwear that I have found some measure of hope for the new year.
So whether it is a penny loafer in flight or a Douglas fir dragged onto stage in the middle of a set (Thank you Billy Ruane).
A gift is a gift is a gift...
Feliz Navidad.
