Two Tuesdays left
Two Tuesdays left, is that right?
Tempus fugit as they say. And we have been having a great time.
Last week we was up in the pines. You know that sound when the wind is rising? Right after dark?
Well anyways the crowd was pretty loud. But it makes no difference. Just because. Have you ever been lonely when. There stands the glass. I dreamt I bought Bob will's suit last night. I was thinking life is good because he was just my size.
But then you wake up. You're in New Hampshire. It's a beautiful morning. You watch a family of woodchucks enjoying the tall grass. You see the first honeybee of the year. You open the paper and read that six species of Carribean coral have become threatened. You see another administration official lying to Congress. And you wish someone up there would buy a spine. Hey they've got the money. There's also a guy in Albania who can give you a great price on the presidential rolex. Nevertheless, you have just played a gig in Montpelier Vt. A place where you would run for mayor if you could. The only US state capitol without a McDonalds...
Such a night. Long after the smoke cleared, the sigh of the accordian hung over the Onion river. Some might say the PA system at Langdon St. needs a little tweak, but I would disagree. There is nothing wrong with that cafe. It is simply one of our favorite places to play.
A couple of weeks ago Billy went fishing in New Hampshire and we didn't miss him at all. Well, maybe a little. But we had Joe Seider unpacking the kitten case. Making a nuisance of the rythm? NO NO NO. For a moment we played like the Every Day Visuals. And we stomped and hollered too. ( We even heard some stories about Kyle).
All I can say is the Lizard Lounge has been a great home this past spring. Thanks to all y'all. And We hope to see you in the fall.
