As most of you know, Session Americana has spent time over the past couple of years working on new material and recordings. Some of the new tunes have been finding their way into our live sets, like “When the Dust Has Settled”, co-written with Kris Delmhorst while we were working at Skal in Maine. With the help of Alec Spiegelman, who edited and mixed songs recorded in various locations with various people, the recordings are ready for release now.

What if there is only one copy of this record? Wouldn’t that be fun? What if we figured out how to start a sort of “roaming gnome” with the album traveling from place to place being experienced and documented as it goes organically through the world? Imagine a Session Americana fan/friend gets a box in the mail with a little music player, some headphones and cables, a booklet. Will it be fun to put the headphones on and listen, maybe post a little photo on their socials or contact the band, and figure out who they would like to hand or mail it to next?

Yep. That’s what we will do. That’s how we release this record. We can put out a few video singles to share on the Internet over the next few months, but the album goes out like a garden gnome.

We will be finishing up the box and sending it out next week. If you want to be on the list for the lottery of who gets this thing going for us (who gets it first - a big responsibility!) just respond to the email or comment on the post and we will put you in the list.

Best warmest regards.
